This is a real time data analysis of the Global Consciousness Project. It collects the data each minute and runs statistics on the stream of random numbers generated by the project. This analysis is run 10 minutes behind the generation of the data. In this way, it can be seen as a real-time indicator of global consciousness coherence.
The Real-time Dot and How it worksThe Global Consciousness Project collects random numbers from around the world. These numbers are available on the GCP website. This website downloads those numbers once a minute and performs sophisticated analysis on these random numbers to see how coherent they are. That is, how probable it is that the numbers are generated as they are. The theory is that the Global Consciousness of all the people of the world affect these random numbers... Maybe they aren't quite as random as we thought.
The probability time window is one hour. For a more information on the algorithm you can read about it on the GCP Basic Science page
What it means

Significantly small network variance. Suggestive of deeply shared, internally motivated group focus. The index is above 95% |

These colors can fade between each other so it's possible to have, for example, a yellow-orange-ish or a green-yellow-ish color. Please don't strongly interpret the dot!
NEUTRAL (green) = Normal random flux in live datastream of random numbers from output devices in over 60 locations around the world aggregated via the Internet on servers in Princeton, N.J.
INTERNAL (blue) = Thousands of human minds are entrained by synchronous, inner-directed intention or feeling.
EXTERNAL (red) = Thousands of human minds are entrained by a synchronous outside influence, usually transmitted via mass media.
